Eng. Tariq joined the National Industrial Clusters Development Program (NICDP) in 2012 as VP, Solar Power Cluster. Prior to joining NICDP, he was involved in the petrochemicals and chemicals industries in various positions including technical and leadership.
Eng. Tariq began his career with the Eastern Petrochemicals Company (SHARQ) - an affiliate of the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) as a Maintenance Engineer responsible for maintenance of the production facilities. Later, he was promoted to Maintenance Manager. He was responsible for developing operation and maintenance strategies to upgrade productivity of many product lines; developing the Company’s expansion projects and conducting the relevant technical studies. In addition, he was responsible for developing strategies relating to health, safety, environment and product quality.
Since he began working for NICDP, Eng. Tariq focuses on developing exceptional projects. He prepares engineering studies pertinent to developing projects for auto and auto components industries, in addition to other industries.
Eng. Tariq holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from KFUPM, Dhahran, KSA.
