Mr. Khalid Mohammed Al Salem
Mr. Al Salem joined the National Industrial Clusters Development Program (NICDP) as Vice President of Plastics and Packaging since beginning of 2014 to support the implementation of chemicals and plastics downstream industries in Saudi Arabia and to lead the initiation of pharmaceutical cluster development.
As of March 2015, Mr. Al Salem has been appointed as the Program President.
Al Salem gained over 22 years of experience working with Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC). He was involved in different functions in Research and Technology including research work, technology development, plant performance improvement, plants start up and customers support. He was also responsible for setting up Chemicals and Polymers Research Organizations in Saudi Arabia, USA, India and China. This period included the leadership success to commercialize major breakthrough technologies in SABIC (Acetic Acid and Linear Alpha Olefins (LAO(.
Mr. Al Salem holds a Master degree, in Business Administration from Thunderbird University, USA and a B.Sc in Chemical Engineering, from KSU University, Saudi Arabia.
